From treadmills, personal training to Cross-Fit, Natural High Fitness has seen it all in their 10 years of business in Okotoks.

Owners Andrew & Shari Gustafson started with their humble beginnings with Andrew as a personal trainer before moving into his facility at the Okotoks Rec Centre and hasn't looked back since.

He says it's been quite a ride in the local fitness circuit.

"Ten years in this community has been an absolute blast," he says. "The best thing we've got out of it is a ton of great friends, we've got a lot of connectiveness in our community and it's because we are surrounded by amazing people every single day. They've got interesting goals and are willing to open up their lives to us and allow ourselves to inject into their wellness path and we're thrilled to able to do that."

Natural High has evolved since it's first client came through its doors as they have expanded their operations to a Cross-Fit facility located on Fisher Street.

Gustafson says the fitness world is constantly changing and his business can't succeed if they don't change things up from time to time.

"We get to try new things, we get to look and see what's out there. They way you do it is just to be very active in online communities as well as attending conferences every single year. We look and see what the new things that are coming are and then we just pick and choose the ones we want to jump on because no one facility can jump on all of them."

He says he's been part of plenty of special facilities right in town.

"We were one of the starting Cross-Fit gyms in Alberta, when we started ours we were number 300 in the world there are now 14,000 Cross-Fit gyms in the world. So we're certainly on the cutting edge of that, we pick the trends appropriately and we continue to watch for those things and the biggest thing is what are people going to have fun with and what they are going to have fun with."
