Big Brothers, Big Sisters Okotoks is excited to once again team up with residents and local businesses for their Bowl For Kids Sake event Mar. 13.

Jodi McKay with BBBS says it's going to be an action-packed day with plenty of activities in hopes of fundraising for the Okotoks chapter.

"We'll be at Millennium Lanes between 4-8 p.m. and what's exciting is that we ask the teams participating generate pledges with a minimum of $400 for the day," she says.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters has been a mentoring program in the community for the last 20 years and McKay says Bowl For Kids Sake helps show the community who is involved and why it's an organization that anyone can be a part of in the future.

"We have an amazing time and some of our big brothers, little brothers, big sisters and little sisters will be there bowling as well. It's an amazing family event and we're also hoping that some of the local businesses may challenge each other and come out as a team building activity and just raise funds and just help raise awareness in the community."
