The Bomber Command Museum in Nanton turns 30 this weekend and they're hosting a full weekend to celebrate.

It starts Friday night with a list of VIP's and of course a large number of Veterans and Museum volunteers.

Museum Director Karl Kjasrsgaard says they have a great wind-up to the evening.

"We have a night run of our Lancaster on Friday night at about 10 P.M.. And it's quite a magical thing to listen to a Lancaster run in the darkness."

Friday night's get together will have Senator Anne Cools, Foothills MP John Barlow, Livingstone-MacLeod MLA Pat Stier, and a handful of veterans.

The fun continues Saturday with a pancake breakfast hosting by the Lions Club between 8 and 10 A.M., Lancaster engine runs, and at 11 o'clock a couple of CT-155 Hawk jets from 419 Squadron out of Cold Lake, will do a series of fly-by's.
