The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has identified the victim of the domestic homicide which lead to the discovery of human remains near D'Arcy Ranch Monday morning.

The victim in the case has now been identified as 53 year old Mohamed Jasim Al Aalak of Calgary.

Zaineddin Al Aalak, 21, the son of the victim, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with this case. He was arrested Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

He will appear in Calgary Provincial Court on Thursday, July 20, 2017.

Calgary Police are still trying to track the victims movements before his death, and are asking anyone who may have seen his 2012 white, four-door Ford Focus with Alberta plate L83 265 overnight between Sunday, July 16 and Monday, July 17 to call police at 403-266-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
