The 29th annual Santa Clause parade is less than a month away.

Santa's biggest little elf in High River, Ted Dawson is again out drumming up support and entries for the parade.

"We're really encouraging folks to get their entries in, we've already got about twelve who have registered for the parade so we're looking for a whole bunch more and they can go to highrivertourism.com and all the entry forms and parade information is there," he says.

Dawson says this is the second year the lights will be on in George Lane Park and as usual there's no end to the opportunities to shop and get into the Christmas spirit.

"The moonlight madness sales with all the merchants, they have all their Christmas sales on, we've got the Christmas Craft Fair at the Memorial Centre, there's the Gift of Hope sale at the United Church," Dawson says. "The LDS always has it's Christmas Creche display, which is really incredible and if you haven't been over to see it you've really go to take the time."

The parade is one of the best attended evening parades in the region.

The light up in George Lane Park starts at 6 and the parade starts at 6:30.
