If you were planning on heading to Kananaskis Country to do some camping this weekend, be aware you'll have a very good chance of spotting a bear or two.

Alberta Environment and Parks has issued a bear warning for the entire park.

What's turning out to be a bumper crop of berries has the bears coming to the valley floors in droves as they look to fatten up for winter.

Unfortunately, most of those berry bushes are alongside highway and pathways, which means there's a better than average chance of a bear encounter with humans.

Parks officials are asking those heading to the park to respect trail closures and use proper "bear smart" techniques.

The Province of Alberta put together this video showing the proper use of bear spray and some other tips on being "Bear Aware."
