Foothills MP John Barlow says his thoughts go out to the people in Britain affected by the terror incident Wednesday.

Barlow says they got the news while preparing for budget day.

"It was very ironic, we were in caucus, same as what happened October 22 (2014) here when we came out of caucus, because when we're in there we have no cell phones, no laptops or anything, we came out of there and heard about it and thought 'man here we go again", he says. "It certainly brought back pretty hard memories of what occurred on Canada's Parliament Hill and certainly our thoughts and prayers are with our colleagues in the United Kingdom."

He says they know exactly how their colleagues feel and wanted to send his support to them.
