The Okotoks Fire Department saw an average week of calls sent their way last week.

Fire Chief Ken Thevenot says his crew were apart of many different emergency situations.

"The responses to the end of the week of December 6th we had 20 responses, four alarm system activations, 13 medical responses and we had three motor vehicle accidents we attended to," he says.

Thevenot says with the week the department has now responded to calls in the digit range.

"Total responses to the year is 1004".

Thevenot added that the Fire Department are still holding Car Seat Clinics every 2nd Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. at the Fire Hall and its free to the public as the department will inspect the seat and make sure everything is working properly for the precious cargo that parents are hauling with them.
