Calgary police have a man in custody in the case of missing five-year-old Taliyah Marsman.

A man was arrested Wednesday night around 10:30.

Police say the man is being questioned in relation to the little girl's disappearance.

No charges have been laid, and police aren't releasing many details at this time.

Detectives in the case say they're searching an area near Chestermere for clues about the girl's whereabouts.

Taliyah's mother, Sara Baillie, was found murdered in her northwest Calgary home Monday night.

An Amber Alert was issued for Taliyah early Tuesday after she went missing following the discovery of her mother's body inside her home.

That Amber Alert remains in place.
