Police are on the look-out for yet another robbery suspect after the CO-OP Liquor Store on 12th Avenue was held up Thursday night.

Mounties say around 8:40 P.M. a lone man entered the store, dressed in red winter coat, black pants and had a touque over his head with eye holes cut out.

He demanded money and although he didn't produce or threaten a weapon, he kept one hand in the pocket of his jacket the entire time.

High River RCMP Sergeant Brent Hawker says because the crime happened so early in the evening he's hoping someone in the nearby area might have caught a glimpse of the suspect.

Hawker says it's not just the bad economy that's bringing on this latest rash of robberies.

"Certainly when the economy turns poor you see them (robberies) as well, but they're also attributed to the drug trade. So, people that are using drugs sometime seek out money to purchase their drug of choice."

Hawker says this robbery and the attempted Robbery at the 7-11 last week don't look to be related.

"It doesn't appear to be the same build of person. This one, although we think he acted alone, the other one it was believed there might have been two other people involved. The body shapes do look somewhat different. So there's no evidence that the two are tied together."

Police are still searching for suspects in another robbery, this one in broad daylight last week, when a man had his truck and boat stolen at gunpoint at a local car wash.

Here's the RCMP description of the suspect:

Caucasian, approximately six feet tall with a heavier build.

The male was wearing a red winter jacket with the hood up, a grey toque over his face with eye holes cut out, black pants, grey/blue DC running shoes and was carrying a black backpack.

It is unknown at this time if the male fled on foot or in a vehicle.
