The Spring sitting of the Alberta Legislature gets underway Monday, March 12.

Highwood MLA Wayne Anderson says having UCP Leader Jason Kenney in the House now will change the tone.

"I think you'll see a caucus that's going to focused on holding this government accountable. And Jason as leader with his expertise and experience, I think it will be a very interesting session."

He says local issues he'll be bringing up will be rural crime and the effect of the carbon tax on non-profit's like Foothills SNAPS and the Rowan House Women's Emergency Shelter.

Anderson says another focus will be the Trans-Mountain pipeline expansion.
