The Alberta Party is working hard to affect change in our province.

Party leader Greg Clark says they care about showing Albertans solutions more than opposition.

"As an opposition MLA I have a choice. I can just oppose what the government does, or I can propose new ideas. And, I've chosen to propose ideas, so we put together our own shadow budget on the last budget. We put together our own climate plan, our own royalies plan, and we're working now on our next shadow budget. So, we're going to tell Albertans just how we would balance the budget, how we would make those hard choices."

He says it's looking like it will be a while before we see a new budget.

"You know, we get a budget here at some point. We're not back in the legislature until March 8th, which is a month later than originally planned. We may not see that budget until April, so it's a long time to wait. And Albertans are really hurting right now, there's absolutely no question."

Clark says it's important to show Albertans possible solutions.

"I would really hope other opposition parties would do the same thing. Unfortunately, we're the only opposition party, the Alberta Party are the only party who have done a shadow budget or a royalties or a climate plan. And we'll keep doing them, because I think it's important that we let Albertans know how we would solve these problems."

Clark says he's working as hard as he can to reach out to Albertans, listen to what they have to say, hear their concerns, develop great policy, and give Albertans a real alternative in the next election. To find out more on the Alberta Party, visit http://www.albertaparty.ca/.
