Alberta Health Services is notifying families after a case of tuberculosis was confirmed.

AHS has sent letters to 150 people informing them that they or their children are considered to possibly be at risk.

The exposure took place at a daycare in the Calgary zone, which includes Okotoks.

According to the health agency, the risk of transmission from the affected individuals is low and does not present an ongoing risk at the daycare or to the general public.

Follow-up screenings are being coordinated.

The name of the daycare where this took place will not be released.
