The first day of advance voting begins Friday.
The polls will open at noon in numerous locations throughout the Foothills riding.
Elections Canada spokesperson Leanne Nyirfa says the polls go all the way to Sunday.
She says voters will need some ID with an official address and having a voter registration card or information wouldn't hurt in getting in and out of the stations quickly and efficiently.
"You should bring your identification with you because you need to prove your identity and address before you can vote," she says. "So that can be either one piece of government issued ID with your photo, name and address, so for example our drivers license. You can show two other pieces of ID and these could be two different pieces that have your name on it and one must have your address."
If you live in a rural area, having your legal land description handy is always a plus.
Nyirfa says if you don't any regular ID and are from the Foothills riding, you can still vote, it might just take a little bit longer.
"If you don't have any identification at all, you can take an oath," she says. "You need to show two pieces of ID with your name on it, and have someone who knows you come with you to the poll and they must be registered in the same electoral division as you are and meet the ID requirements and they can attest to where you're from."
The local advance polling stations are:

Flare And Derrick Community Centre
Scott Seaman Arena
Foothills Centennial Centre
Highwood Memorial Centre
JT Foster School
Claresholm Community Centre
