The second Annual Okotoks 48 hour Film Festival gets underway Friday at six p.m. at the old Town Plaza.

Festival Director, Katie Fournell, says registered teams are given a box of supplies to assist in creating a film of their own.

" We have teams meet us in a location, and give them each of box, and in that box is a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre," said Fournell.

After receiving the supplies, the teams will be sent on their way to produce a movie.

"They have to incorporate the supplies into a movie. They have to write, shoot and edit the movie, and bring it back to us 48 hours later," Fournell said.

There are 11 teams currently on the roster for tomorrow and teams can still register, as long as it's before the start of the event. The fee for entry is thirty dollars, and there is no limit on the number of members to make up a team.
