The Okotoks Bisons will be looking for a new General Manager this off-season.

The team announced last week that G.M. Brent Trevors is stepping down from the role after three seasons.

Trevors says the bottom line is he wants to spend more time with his own kids.

"I've got three boys all playing. You know what? I just think these years with my own kids are so important and I can't get these years back when they're done and for me it just became tough to not see games they were playing and at the end of the day that's the sole reason."

He says he started hunting for a possible replacement already this season.

"I wasn't around as much as I had been the first two years. I did a lot more of the behind the scenes stuff. Kind of transitioned Ryan Rarick into taking on the role. Ryan, he'll be great. He has a lot of want and passion for it. He's a local guy who's been watching the Bisons for a long time."

The Bisons haven't made any decisions official yet.
