It doesn't happen often, but the Highwood Mustangs and Foothills Falcons managed a rare tie in their high school baseball game Tuesday, May 8, in Okotoks.

The Mustangs took the lead 11-9 in the top of the extra inning, but the Falcons came back with two runs of their own in the bottom of eight to tie the game.

The teams are tied for second spot in the Southern Alberta Baseball League Tier II standings with 2-2-and-1 records, behind the 5-and-0 Holy Trinity Academy Knights.

The Knights head across town to face the Falcons Thursday, May 10, while out East, the J.T. Foster Knights out of Nanton make their way to Vulcan for a date with the County Central Hawks.

Both games are 5:30 starts.
