September 21 was a busy but successful night in the Junior B Heritage Hockey League, for several of the Foothills teams.

The High River Flyers put on a good hometown show, chalking up another win in the regular season.

They beat last years HJHL champions: the Red Deer Vipers 3-1 in the Bob Snodgrass Arena in High River.

The boys head out to Didsbury on September 22 to take on the Mountainview Colts, who will be looking to earn their first win in the regular season, after losing to the Okotoks Bisons last week.

Game time is 8:00 p.m. in the Didsbury Recreation Complex.

The Okotoks Bisons also manage a win last night, in their home opener for the regular season.

They dropped the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 4-2, in the Murray Arena.

The Wheatland kings will have a chance at an immediate rematch on September 22, as the Bisons head out to Strathmore.

The puck drops at 8 p.m.

The newly formed Lomond Lakers debut their very first regular season game with a stunning victory against the Three Hills Thrashers.

They beat the Thrashers 6-0 last night, with their next match up against the Okotoks Bisons this Friday.
