The High River Flyers get back to work Friday, November 17, as they host the Red Deer Vipers, before hitting the road Sunday, November 19, to battle the Wranglers up in Blackfalds.

Flyers Coach Tyson Avery says with the tight race in the Heritage League's South Division, there's plenty on the line this weekend.

"Our division's very close in the South and we've got two tough opponents this weekend. We've really got to be ready for them and try to take advantage of our opportunities when they come."

The Flyers trail the first place Okotoks Bisons by just two points, and are tied with the Strathmore Wheatland Kings for second, while just a point up on the fourth place Coaldale Copperheads and three up on the Cochrane Generals.

The Okotoks Bisons, meantime, face the Copperheads in Coaldale Saturday and are back home Sunday to face the Ponoka Stampeders starting at 1:15 p.m. at the Murray Arena.
