Calgary Stampeders receiver and Okotoks native Anthony Parker knows the Stamps will be a different team that hits the field in 2018.

With the likes of Marquay McDaniel, Charleston Hughes, Jerome Messam and Tommie Campbell all gone, Parker says he'll miss them, but still thinks the Stamps can get back to the Grey Cup without them.

"It will be a different look team. Maybe we'll have a little bit of a different identity. But, at the end of the day the mantra's the same in terms of the way that we operate. And the goals the same. And that's to get to the big game and get it done."

2017 wasn't a record setting year for Parker with the Stamps.

He finished with 36 catches for 482 yards, which was a step back from his 2016 season.

He says it's something he'll be looking to improve on in 2018.

"That'll be something going into this year, I'll be looking at it, saying "Ok, how can I focus on doing my job this play, this minute" whatever it is. And then hopefully when we get to the end of the year I'll look back and be happy with the numbers and where everything went."

parker who just signed a new two year deal with the stamps, starts training camp in may.
