A bit of a disaster for High River chuckwagon driver Jason Glass at night one Wednesday, June 28, of the Ponoka Stampede.

He hit one barrel and missed another, which cost him 15 seconds and pushed him to the bottom of the standings after just the first night of racing.

That's taken him right out of contention for the finals, but there's still plenty of day money out there for him.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland did well though, as he sits 11th about half a second out of the top four.

High River's Jordie Fike is close as well, as he was 14th on the night.

Okotoks Dayton Sutherland was 32nd.

The top five coming out of night one are Gary Gorst, Chanse Vigen, High River champ Kurt Bensmiller, Layne Bremner and Rick Fraser.

They're back on the track again Thursday, June 29.
