The Okotoks Oilers had a battle on their hands last night against the Whitecourt Wolverines.

The Wolverines scored the first goal of the night late in the first period with the Oilers having to wait until the second period before Brett Moravec scored their first goal, tying it up 1 - 1 going into the third.

The Wolverines took the lead early in the third period but the Oilers answered back with a power play goal scored by Marc Pasemko to tie the game 2 - 2.

A final goal scored by Zane Kindrachuk late in the third period won the game for the Oilers with a score of 3 - 2.

The Oilers are still second in the AJHL South Division at 5 points behind the Brooks Bandits.

They're in Drayton Valley Sunday afternoon for a match up against the Thunder. Game starts at 2:00pm.
