The Okotoks Oilers had to work for it, but in the end they can boast a victory in last nights pair-up with the Calgary Mustangs.

They managed to bring down the Mustangs 3-2 in the Pason Centennial Arena in Okotoks.

#5 rookie defenceman for the Oilers, Luke Farthing opens the game with the initial goal of the first period.

The Mustangs successfully counter attack before the end of the first period and keep the game tied up until the final moments of the game.

The Oilers offense, powered by Dylan Holloway opens the third period with a score for the Oilers, but the Mustangs tie it up once more halfway through the end of the period.

Finally, forward Blake Wells ends the game in the Oilers favor, scoring in the final minute of the game to keep it from overtime, with an assist by Austin Wong and Quinn Olson.

The action continues tonight in Okotoks, as the Canmore Eagles come to town for a matchup at 7 p.m.
