The Okotoks Oilers dodged a huge bullet Tuesday, April 3, in Brooks.

Down two games to one to the Bandits in the AJHL South Division final, the Oilers blew a two goal lead in the third period, and it took until the half-way point of the third overtime, until Tanner Laderoute, would score, to give the Oilers a 5-4 win and tie the series up at two games each.

Now it's onto game five and Laderoute says the Oilers need to be more aggressive.

"I think we need to take it to them. I think if we go full out right out the gate, it can be anyone's game, but I think we can have them if we go full out."

The Oilers and bandits hit the ice at 7 o'clock Friday, April 6, at the Pason Centennial Arena.

In the meantime, waiting in the wings for either the Oilers or Bandits are the Spruce Grove Saints.

They won the AJHL North Division title Tuesday night with a 6-2 win over the Whitecourt Wolverines, sweeping the series.

In eight playoff games so far the Saints have outscored their opponents 42-9.
