The Okotoks Oilers took to the ice in the Centennial Arena on September 21, hoping for a victory in their home opener against the Camrose Kodiaks.

The first two periods looked promising with the Oilers leading the scores and nearly doubling the Kodiaks shots on net.

However the Kodiaks strike back in the final period, tieing up the game before winning in overtime.

The final score of the night was 4-3 for the Kodiaks.

The Oilers are at home again on September 22 and matched against the Drumheller Dragons, who even out at 2-2 so far in the regular season.

Game time is 7 p.m.
