A pivotal week in AJHL action begins Tuesday night for the Okotoks Oilers.

After falling to the Lloydminster Bobcats on Friday in regulation, the Oilers saw their position in the South Division drop from second to third over the weekend and pending what happens against the Canmore Eagles they could drop or climb in the standings again.

Okotoks (31-16-5) welcomes a red hot Eagles (30-16--6) team who have won seven of their last eight games and are just a point back of the Oilers for third.

The Oilers do lead the season series against the Eagles 3-1 with their latest victory coming on January 6, 2017 by a 6-0 shutout at home.

It will also be the first time Oilers forward Colby Livingstone & Eagles defenceman Travis Verveda will face their former teams since being traded for each other at the January 10 trade deadline.

Game time is 7 p.m. at Pason Centennial Arena.

The Oilers continue their seven game home stand Friday and Saturday against their division rivals the Brooks Bandits & Camrose Kodiaks.
