Nanton's Clay Elliot had the best score of the day in the saddlebronc event at the Stampede as he rode "Outlaw" to an 86.5 and a payday of $5,500.
He says "Outlaw" did his job.
"He feels really good as a bucking horse. He's the kind of horse horse you can put a good ride on and that's what I was able to do today."
Cochrane's Tanner Milan finished first for the third straight day in steer wrestling, locking up his spot in semi-final Saturday.
And Okotoks bull rider Jordan Hansen finished third Sunday, July 9, but needs a real good ride Monday, July 10, to punch his ticket to the semi's.
