A win and a loss and a whole lot of action for the Highwood Mustangs Senior Boys Baseball team yesterday.

First up, they lost to the Nanton Knights 4-3.

Coach Kevin Jones said it was a tough loss and they loaded the bases in the final inning with only one out, but were unable to score any runners to tie it up.

He said Troy Kowal had a great pitching performance with Cam Grover coming in for relief for two scoreless innings and four strikeouts.

They won the second game against Pincher Creek 10-6.

Jones added Chase Groeneveld was great with going two for three at the plate with two runs batted in, a walk and 3 stolen bases. Ryan Woodward got the Win.

Next week the senior team plays Tuesday to make up a game against Picture Butte and Thursday in Kainai.

The JV team plays on Wednesday against the Okotoks Outlaws.

All games are at 5:30.
