River's Edge Assistant pro and local long drive champ, Dan McIntosh is down in Thackerville, Oklahoma taking part in the World Long Drive Championships.

He hits the grid Friday, September 1, while the preliminaries and last chance qualifiers go Thursday, August 31.

McIntosh, who's already faced the best in the world this year, says if he makes it to the final 16 and the TV rounds, he doesn't care who he faces.

"No. I really don't think it matters, any way you go. I mean, you can't control what these other guys do. All you can control is how you're going to do. I'm preparing myself to go up against the grid and go up against myself and whoever's there is there, and we'll see what happens."

If McIntosh makes the final 16, they'll go over two nights, Tuesday, September 5 and Wednesday, September 6 on the Golf Channel.
