Local drivers have some work to do to catch the leaders after the first three nights of the Rangeland Derby in Calgary.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland is the best of the bunch as he's 13th after the races Sunday, July 9, just a couple of seconds off the pace set by Chanse Vigen who leads the aggregate.

High River's Jason Glass finished 29th Sunday night off barrel four in the fifth heat, but he's not out of it yet as he's 18th and just a second behind Rick Fraser who sits in eighth spot.

Fellow High River Driver, Jordie Fike's about two seconds off the pace, but a good run will see him move up quick.

Chad Harden, Colt Cosgrave, Kurt Bensmiller, 2016 Champ Kirk Sutherland, Troy Dorchester, Evan Salmond and Fraser are the top eight heading into night four of racing.

The wagons will redraw after Monday's races.
