Local drivers did very well Thursday, March 22, in Calgary at the Stampede Chuckwagon Canvas Auction.

High River's Jordie Fike had the biggest jump, as he pulled in $80,000, compared to the $57,500 he got last year.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland brought in an extra $20,000 from 2017 as he was picked up for $100,000.

High River's Jason Glass is also a member of the six-figure club as he got $100,000 as well, up $5,000 from the $95,000 he took in last year.

2017 Stampede and WPCA Champ, Kurt Bensmiller, had the high bid of the night at $130,000.

Overall bidding was up $815,500 from 2017 with $3,238,000 in total bids, compared to $2,422,500.00 last year.
