A great turnout last night for the annual Blackout game between the Foothills Composite Falcons and the Holy Trinity Academy Knights.

The two Okotoks teams faced off at the Falcons' field in front of packed stands.

A strong first half for the Knights, heading into the second at 17-0.

The Falcons found some footing in the second half, but it wasn't enough to keep up as the knights kept the pressure on.

The last few minutes of the game were largely prolonged, due in no small part to numerous penalty flags, two of which invalidated touchdowns from the Knights.

There were visible reactions from the crowd as more and more flags fell. Knights Coach Matt Hasset says they didn't let it get to them.

"We made some silly penalties and stuff like that, though there were a lot of flags tonight, which I didn't think we quite deserved. It is what it is sometimes." Adding, "That can be frustrating for players, but for the most part they kept their cool. If something goes wrong, you gotta reload."

HTA ultimately came out on top at 38-18.

The victory puts the Knights at 4-0 on the season, leaving the Falcons and 1-3.
