The High River Heat had to work for it, but in the end came out with the 12-11 win in Calgary against the Axemen Wednesday, May 9, in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

The Heat improve to 7-and-1 with the win, and remain well out front of the pack on top of the Tier II South Division.

The Heat are back home Sunday, May 13, as they face the Medicine Hat Sun Devils in a Mother's Day match-up.
