It's going to be "Snow Bowl's" around the Foothills Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, as the High School Football playoffs get underway.

Down in Claresholm the Willow Creek Cobras battle the W.R. Meyers Rebels out of Taber and Cobras Coach Tim Bryson says Snow? What snow?

"I've been coaching a long time down here and rarely do we get through November without one nasty blast of weather. I think last year was an exception, but otherwise there's always a week in there where it's just bundle up and suck it up!"

The Cobras beat the Rebels 34-0 earlier this season, but Bryson says he's not putting a whole lot of stock in that.

"Statistically it was much closer than that. We took advantage of turnovers. We scored on a pick six and recovered a fumble inside their five yard line, so it wasn't your average 34-0 game."

Game time is 7 o'clock at Cobras Field in Claresholm.

In Okotoks it's the Foothills Falcons taking on the Springbank Phoenix in the Tier Two provincial quarterfinals Saturday afternoon.
