The High River Flyers kicked off the month of December with the second game in a home and home series in Cochrane against the Generals and after a hard fought battle, seize the victory in overtime.

The final score of the night was a 2-1 decision for the Flyers.

As always, it was another impressive performance from Flyers goaltender Chantz Vinck, but rookie #4 Kyle Hartle can boast, his first HJHL goal and the game winning score.

The Flyers take Sunday off, but are set to challenge the formidable Strathmore Wheatland Kings on Friday December 7 at 8 p.m. in the Bob Snodgrass Rec-plex.

Meanwhile, the night wasn't so triumphant for the Lomond Lakers who drop their second matchup against the South division leading Copperheads out in Coaldale.

Last nights game goes to the Copperheads 6-1.

The Lakers will be heading back to Claresholm on December 2, to play host to the Cochrane Generals at 4:30 p.m.

Lastly the Okotoks Bisons will be hitting the ice on December 2 after a bit of a hiatus, to take on the Medicine Hat Cubs at 1:15 p.m.
