There were plenty of games on the evening of November 10 in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League, as three locals teams hit the ice.

To start, the High River Flyers couldn't make it happen out in Stettler against the Lightning.

The Lightning took down the Flyers, ending the game 6-3.

With their recent loss the Flyers move to a 6W-11L and 1 overtime loss on the season.

Now the High River hockey club will have a few days off, before hitting the ice again at home in the Bob-Snodgrass Rec-plex to host the Cochrane Generals, on November 16 at 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Okotoks Bisons can chalk up a decisive win over the Thrashers, in their recent foray in Three Hills.

The Bisons close the game with a 12-1 win, throwing 44 shots at the Thrashers netminder.

The next game for the Okotoks team will be a contest against the Lomond Lakers this Friday November 16, on their home ice in the Claresholm Arena at 8:30 p.m.

As for the Lakers, their pairing with the Stampeders out in Ponoka was a close match.

However, the Lakers manage a win, ending the game 5-4 in their favor.

Both teams tied each other in shots on net, throwing 38 shots at each others goalies.

The Lakers next game is another matchup against their season nemesis the Cochrane Generals in the Claresholm arena, on November 11 at 5:15 p.m.

After losing their previous two pairings against the Generals, the Lakers will be looking for some revenge this time around.
