A big weekend for the High River Flyers as they play a home and home against the Cochrane Generals.

The Flyers can leapfrog the Generals for fourth spot in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League's South Division with a couple of wins, and Coach Colten Hayes says that's the plan.

"That's our main focus right now is just moving up. You know Medicine Hat's on our tail there and they're playing real good hockey and we don't want to be sitting out. We've got 15 games left and we have to treat them like playoff games, because you can't really "flip the switch" when it comes to playoffs."

Hayes says they're also close to getting some of the injured players back including Captain Michael McTighe.

However he says they lost a couple last weekend which isn't helping.

He says he's looking forward to the Christmas break in hopes of getting some of his players healthy and ready for the stretch drive in the New Year.

The Flyers and Generals hit the ice at 8 Friday, November 30, at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

Just one game for the Okotoks Bisons this weekend as they're home to the Medicine Hat Cubs Sunday, December 2, starting at 1:15 at the Murray Arena.
