The High River Flyers are kicking their season into high gear as they took home two wins in two games this weekend in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League.

They defeated the Red Deer Vipers 4 to 1 on Saturday, October 28th on the road.

Goalie Chantz Vinick stopped 34 shots before letting one in on a power play.

Joel Nalder scored twice while Davis Sheldon and Michael McTighe got singles.

The team also defeated the North division first place team the Airdrie Techmation Thunder 7 to 4 Friday night as they they hosted their Pink the Rink fundraiser.

Next up they host the Strathmore Wheatland Kings Friday, November 3rd at 8 at the Rec-plex and hit the road to take on Medicine Hat Cubs at the Kinplex on November 4th.
