Two local teams in the HJHL are in the middle of a home and home stretch this weekend.

The High River Flyers got theirs off to a rough start on November 30, when they played host to the Cochrane Generals at the Bob Snodgrass Rec-plex.

Missing a few key players, the Flyers drop their first pairing with the Generals 5-2.

They'll have their chance at a rematch, when the team hits the road to Cochrane for their second game in the series on December 1 at 7:45 p.m.

Meanwhile the Okotoks Bisons haven't played a game since their loss to the Flyers on November 23, but will hit the ice on December 2 in the Murray Arena to host the Medicine Hat Cubs at 1:15 p.m.

The Cubs occupy the lower end of the South Division, but are coming off a win against the Stettler Lightning on November 24.

Lastly the Lomond Lakers lost the first half of their home-and-home series against the South Division leading Coaldale Copperheads on November 30.

Final score of the game was a 5-3 decision in the Copperheads favor.

The Lakers hit the ice in Coaldale on December 1 at 8:30 p.m.
