The Calgary Flames fell behind early to the Vancouver Canucks Monday, January 18, at the Dome, but bounced back with four straight goals to win their second in a row over the Canucks, this time 5-2.

They won the opener of their two game series against Vancouver Saturday, January 16, 3-0.

Flames Coach, Geoff Ward, says he was happy to see the team bounce back in the second and third periods.

"I give our guys a lot of credit. We regrouped after the first intermission and we came out and we found a way to tie the hockey game and then grabbed the lead and that's how we react in the correct ways at key times."

The Flames got goals from Johnny Gaudreau, Mikael Backlund, Elias Lindholm, Mark Giordano and Rasmus Andersson.

They host the Toronto Maple Leafs Sunday, January 24.

In the meantime, Michael Stone has re-signed with the Flames for a one-year, two-way deal worth $700,000.

The veteran defenceman has just under 500 games of NHL experience, with his time split between the Flames and Arizona Coyotes.
