The Ponoka Stampede 2017 WPCA Pro Tour chuckwagon canvas auctions sale raised $318,000.00, down 12 grand from last year.

The total was down this year with three former Ponoka Stampede Champions Kurt Bensmiller, Chad Harden and Troy Dorchester all tied for the top bid hitting $18,000.00 for the six day show that starts June 28, 2017.

The average bid was $8,833.33, with the median bid at an even $7,500.00.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland earned nine thousand;dollars while his son rookie Dayton Sutherland sold for six thousand.

High River's Jason Glass pulled in $7,500. and Jordie Fike was just behind him at $7,000.00.

Grande Prairie, Alberta is the first stop on the WPCA Pro Tour running from May 31 to  June 4,  2017.
