Excitement is starting to grow for the big "Field of Dreams" event coming to Seaman Stadium at the end of May, pitting the Okotoks Dawgs against some current and alumni Calgary Stampeders and Calgary Flames.

Okotoks Dawgs V.P. of Community Relations William Gardner says it's going to be epic.

"Think of having the Flames Alumni, the Stampeders Alumni. It's going to be just a great night of fun. Our players, playing these two great, illustrious groups of athletes. And what a great night it's going to be in support of two outstanding charities."

Okotoks own "Bearcat Murray" will, of course, be front and centre.

"I'm an alumni member for both organizations, and very proud of it! What a great event this is going to be. The people of Okotoks are going to be surprised. This is going to be great!"

Money raised goes to Life Choice Dynamics, which helps former athletes transition back into the world once their careers come to an end.

And CC4MS, which helps adult men who suffered sexual and physical abuse as children or teens.

Gardner says tickets are selling out fast, so get yours before they're gone.
