The Canadian Finals Rodeo gets rolling Wednesday, November 8, up in Edmonton with a full dozen cowboys from the Foothills front and centre.

One of those is Nanton saddle bronc rider Clay Elliot.

He says he just held a riding school a couple of weeks ago back in Nanton and he says it's a hot bed of rodeo.

"All these Canadian bronc riders that are doing well down South has really encouraged some younger kids to want to be bronc riders. At my school I had 24 kids and lot's of talent, lot's of try and the future of bronc riding means a lot. And my community of Nanton really is supportive of all that."

Elliot, along with Logan Bird in tie down roping, and team roper Rocky Dallyn, all will represent Nanton at the CFR this year.
