The Okotoks Dawgs wrapped up the WMBL regular season in style with their league leading and franchise best 35th win of the year, beating the Fort McMurray Giants 12-8 Sunday, July 30, at Seaman Stadium.

Kody Funderburk hit his 14th and 15th home runs of the season, while Matt Lloyd and Greg Cullen chipped in with homers of their own.

The Dawgs finish with a 35-and-13 record, eight games up on both the Lethbridge Bulls and Medicine Hat Mavericks, and 11 games up on the Edmonton Prospects in the West Division.

They get the playoffs going Tuesday, August 1, when they host the Prospects in game one of their best of five first round series.
