The Okotoks Dawgs continue to sign players as the baseball season is approaching quickly.

They signed seven new pitchers this week from as far away as the Dominican Republic. Eddy Tavares, of Peru State will be playing his first season with the Dawgs, coming with a 14 strike out season and one game with an eight inning shut out.

Kaleb Huxford, of St. Leo University in Rosedale, Indiana, Galen Manhard of Academy of Art University in Carmel, California, and Tanner Simpson of Lewis Clark State College in North Bend, Washington, will all be making their debut seasons with the Dawgs.

Zac Spivy of Weber International University in Naples, Florida, and lone Canadian, Billy Brand of Point University in Burlington, Ontario have both verbally committed to the season.

And Andrew Yates of Indiana University Southeast in Harrodsburg, Kentucky will be returning, after striking out 23 batters in 14 innings last summer with the Dawgs.
