The Canadian High School Finals Rodeo is underway for three days in Nanton with the juniors going in the morning and the high school contestants in the afternoons.

There are 300 participants and 600 horses taking part at the Nanton Ag grounds.

Some of the events we don't see at regular rodeos include Saddle Bronc on a steer with a full saddle, Chute dogging, breakaway roping, goat tying and ribbon roping,

This is your chance to see some of the next generation of rodeo stars.

These are a few pictures from the opening ceremonies on July 26 and the first couple of contestants in the Junior Rodeo.
