It was do or die for the CFR AAA Midget Bisons in game three of the Alberta Midget Hockey League Finals.

And it took five periods of play for the Bisons Friday night, March 24 to nail their first playoff win against the Leduc Oil Kings.

There were a lot of highlight moments in the game.

The Bisons lead in the first period with Joel Krahenbil scoring, assisted by Boaz Bassen and Tyler Petrie.

In the second period lead then shifted to the Oil Kings after they scored two goals, one with only 44 seconds left on the clock.

But the Bisons answered right back, with 16 seconds on the clock Zach Huber scored assisted by Jackson Salt and Peyton Krebs.

They went to the break tied 2 all.

In the third the Oil Kings sprung ahead, but the Bisons Tarun Fizer, assisted by Peyton Krebs, scored with just over four minutes left in regulation time they remained deadlocked 3 all.

The Bisons put the game to bed in the second over time period when Brandon Machado, assisted by Landon Melzner, scored in the final two minutes.  

The teams meet for game four in Leduc at 2 p.m. Sunday, if needed game five is Monday, March 20 in Strathmore at 8 p.m.
