Kurt Bensmiller started the winning early this year as he picked up the title at the Saskatoon chuckwagon races over the weekend.

He says he's not doing much different this Spring after winning both the Stampede and World Title last year.

"Last year we just missed the dash in Grande Prairie and just missed the show here and had a late outrider in Medicine Hat and then won the next few shows. I don't think we're any further ahead than we were last year. Just, things kind of worked out a little better in our favour, and we got a little lucky and you need to have luck to be able to win."

High River's Jason Glass was 6th in the aggregate, with Jordie Fike 13th.

The Okotoks pair of Mark and Dayton Sutherland were 31st and 35th.

The chucks head to Medicine Hat this week where they'll hit the track Thursday, June 14.
