Eight chuck drivers in 2 heats, all trying to survive the semi final round of the Ponoka Stampede yesterday; All of them looking for a spot in the $50,00 Tommy Dorchester Championship final heat.

The winners who are moving on up are Gary Gorst, Kurt Bensmiller, Layne Macgillavry and Evan Salmon.  

It was Chanse Vigen who won the day money though, with the fastest time of the week, he made a penalty free run of a 1:15:04.

From barrel number two in the seventh heat on the evening, Vigen, driving the Go Uncle Ben's RV outfit was the fast man on the day by .45 of a second over Rick Fraser.

Third place belonged to Gary Gorst, with Kirk Sutherland and Kurt Bensmiller filling out the top five on the night.
