A wild night Thursday, May 4, in Cardston for the Highwood Mustangs baseball team as they took on the Kainai Warriors.

When the dust settled the Mustangs came away with the win, 33-16.

Mustangs Coach Kevin Jones says a lot of the blame for the high score goes to the poor condition of the field, which he says made for some weird hops for the ball in both the infield and outfield.

Troy Kowal ended up getting the win on the hill for the Mustangs, who improve to 4-and-3 on the season.

Chase Groeneveld had a home run for the 'Stangs, while Brayden Hitchner went 4-for-4 at the plate with three RBI's and three walks.

The Mustangs are back in action Saturday, May 6, at 1 p.m. when they take on Claresholm's Willow Creek Cobras at Mustangs Field.
